Prime Minister Viktor Orbán arrived in Madrid where on Wednesday the two-day summit of NATO heads of state and government will start, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI.

On Tuesday evening, King Felipe VI of Spain hosted the leaders arriving in Madrid in the Royal Palace as part of a gala dinner.

At the NATO summit, according to the position to be represented by Mr Orbán, Hungary will stand for efforts to be made in the interest of peace, instead of the escalation of the war in Ukraine. Swift ceasefire and peace talks: this is the recipe against the wartime inflation affecting Europe and the imminent wartime economic crisis, Mr Havasi said.
