National Security Operational Group in session again

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán started the week at the meeting of the National Security Operational Group; from 8 o’clock members of the body are reviewing developments of the weekend and the past few hours in Ukraine on the one hand from a security point of view and on the other with regard to the management of the ever-increasing wave of refugees, Bertalan Havasi, the head of the Press Office of the Prime Minister informed the Hungarian news agency MTI.

On this occasion, too, the Prime Minister convened the meeting of the body – whose duty it is to facilitate governmental decision-making, including closely monitoring the war situation in Ukraine and analysing the available information – in the Carmelite Monastery.

Members of the National Security Operational Group and permanent guests of its meetings include the Interior Minister, the Defence Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Finance Minister, the State Secretary for National Information of the Government Office of the Prime Minister, the commander of the Hungarian Defence Forces, the head of the Information Office, the head of the Constitution Protection Office, the head of the Military National Security Service, the head of the Special Service for National Security, the cabinet chief of the Prime Minister, the Minister heading the Prime Minister’s Office, the State Secretary heading the Programme Office of the Prime Minister, and the State Secretary for Administration of the Government Office of the Prime Minister, Mr Havasi said.
