Orbán-Jansa meeting: Vaccination saves lives
07. 05. 2021.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Jansa exchanged views on the defence operations of Hungary and Slovenia against the pandemic and the essential role of the vaccine on Thursday evening in Porto, Portugal, where on Friday they will both attend the EU’s Social Summit, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI.

They agreed that they had only succeeded in breaking the third wave of the pandemic thanks to vaccination. Mr Orbán said in Hungary it is owing to the now wide availability of vaccines that the reopening of the country could continue and services are available again to those who hold immunity certificates.

The Prime Ministers stressed that the pandemic had not passed yet, and therefore both the Hungarian and Slovenian people would be required to assume continued responsibility for themselves and for others. Everyone who has not yet done so should have themselves vaccinated, Mr Orbán and Mr Jansa said.
