Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had talks with head of European Public Law Organization

On Friday Prime Minister Viktor Orbán received Spyridon Flogaitis, Director of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO) in the Parliament Building, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the press.

At the meeting, which was also attended by Justice Minister László Trócsányi, the parties reviewed current issues of relations between the EPLO and Hungary, and also consulted with respect to strengthening the organisation’s presence in Hungary. As part of this, the opening of an EPLO office in Szeged continues to remain on the agenda.

They agreed that issues related to the future of the European Union and the challenges of the functioning of European democracies and legal systems must be reviewed with the active involvement of legal scholars, and the organisational structure and expert potential of the EPLO are ideally suited to this, Mr Havasi said.
