Wartime energy prices and the current European energy supply problems also have an impact on Hungary. Therefore, for Wednesday morning in the Carmelite Monastery Prime Minister Viktor Orbán convened the government cabinet, members of which comprise the ministers heading the sector-specific cabinets, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI.

The meeting of cabinet leaders is being held owing to the fact that there is an energy emergency in Europe; due to the war in Ukraine, energy prices are rising, and in the past few days, it has become clear that during the upcoming autumn-winter period there will not be enough gas in the countries of the European Union.
