Viktor Orbán holds talks with the Administrator of the Orthodox Diocese of Hungary

Bertalan Havasi, Press Chief of the Prime Minister, has told miniszterelnok.hu that in the Parliament Building on Tuesday morning Prime Minister Viktor Orbán received Bishop Tikhon, Administrator of the Hungarian Orthodox Diocese.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and KDNP leader Zsolt Semjén.

Mr. Havasi said that in March 2017 representatives of the Hungarian state and the Orthodox Church signed an agreement on work on Orthodox churches in Hungary worth HUF 2.4 billion: the refurbishment of three and the construction of one.

He added that Bishop Tikhon thanked Mr. Orbán for supporting Christian values in Hungary.
